The Big Trick
Adam Brock is a digital media specialist, entrepreneur, business owner, and mentor who approaches life with a unique perspective that opens up possibilities. With a BA and MFA under his belt, Adam excelled for ten years as an educator. His opportunistic view led him to explore his passion for teaching as an entrepreneurial teacher in order to support and mentor pupils of all ages. He has seen success performing in major media showcases for Yahoo, The Wall Street Journal, and other media outlets, founding multiple integrated technology and art programs in Washington, and leading a young pupil to start his own business in middle school. His motto in life is, if you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong!
The Connector of Dots
DeWon Tarpley is an acclaimed Design Consultant, Visionary Entrepreneur and an Inspiring youth mentor. Embracing the mantra ‘Live By Design’, (Live x Design), DeWon expands his inexhaustible imagination and design finesse to create extraordinary blueprints for buildings, business and life.
DeWon’s innate ability to design spaces that are thoroughly enjoyed as clean, sustainable and fun, is what makes him an extraordinary design consultant. His degrees in Business Management, Architectural Engineering Design, and Horticulture-Landscape Design are not only complimentary but also enable him to understand every element of design from an architectural and business perspective.
When designing, DeWon displays an impressive talent for symphonizing the relationships between textures, perspectives, tastes and attitudes. His clients, associates, partners and colleagues across the globe often refer to him as the ‘Connector of Dots’ due to his resourcefulness and knack for fostering longstanding relationships.
DeWon’s entrepreneurial drive and desire to build a healthier community led him to co-found Bright Open Source Inc. with friend and business partner Adam Brock. BrightOS Inc. now provides educational support and resources that allow youth to tap into their inner genius and become leaders, entrepreneurs and inventors.
DeWon’s philosophy of Engage, Enlighten and Empower has seen him extend his leadership, creativity and experience to partner with numerous organizations across the country for more than 20 years, with the most recent 5yrs., in the Pacific North West. He has carved out his niche by co-founding Bright Open Source Inc. an educational consulting business, championing the Self-Directed Learning movement. Also by partnering with Tacoma Public Library’s downtown StoryLab as a Mentor and Tacoma Public Schools as a mentor, via the Tacoma Urban League’s, Male Involvement Program (MIP). He was also a Digital Media Instructor for Digital Connectors, a partnership with Comcast and has made contributions to the Hilltop and 6th Avenue Business Associations, School of The Arts (SOTA), University of Washington (Tacoma), YMCA (Brotherhood) and countless others.
